ANTIQUITY COVE -  Period fashion fans:  mark your calendars!  A Gilded Age Fashion Show will be held in Antiquity Fashion Park on Saturday, July 26 at 12 noon SLT.  Gifts are promised for those in attendance.

The show will feature both established and new designers in Second Life who will be showing a wonderful variety of period outfits, including Victorian, gothic, and Edwardian.  Expect to see a showing of pirate wear as well, sure to attract the strong pirate community that has grown in Antiquity and elsewhere on the grid.  All models are members of the Antiquity community.  Jacon Cortes will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

Designers scheduled to participate in this event include a showing of:
•    Pirate wear for gentlemen from Arundel Designs (Arundelain Dumart)
•    Ashbourne & Co. Ltd Jewelry (Elizabeth Burleigh)
•    Gothic attire from Bird of Prey Clothing and Accessories (Draven Sautereau)
•    Gorgeous hats from Hatpins (Reghan Straaf)
•    Costumes from Los Texanos (Jacon Cortes)
•    Victorian gowns from Montagne Noire Clothiers(Astolat Dufaux)
•    Renaissance designs from Rfyre Virtual Elegance (Raven Pennyfeather)

•    Versailles Clothes (delacanardiere Pera)

This will be the first of many fashion shows planned for the newly opened Antiquity Fashion Park. The upcoming show spotlights resident designers with collections exclusively in the Fashion Park, but future shows will expand to include designers outside of the Antiquity community.

The Antiquity Fashion Park was the combined dream of Grand Duchess, Angel Magellan and Arundelain Dumart of Arundel Designs.  Together they collected some of the best period designers of SL into a wonderfully created “French provincial” area with lovely views over the waters of Antiquity.

Dumart commented, “We are so very proud of the designers that have joined with Angel Magellan, Hope Coakes and me in this endeavor. We have transformed an underused portion of the Antiquity sims into a fashion center. I developed textures and built, with tremendous help from and effort by Angel and Hope a Fashion Park complete with permanent catwalk. Next, we invited only the best of the best period sim designers to open shops in our Park. We had such an enthusiastic response to our invitations that several times we had to rebuild the original shops and add in new ones. We went from an initial 8 shops to our latest tally of 18 shops.”

The idea of holding periodic fashion shows came about after the success of the May Day fashion show.  The May Fair was very much a community project and it was the Grand Duchess's wish that the park and fashion shows would follow in that vein.
