"I was inspired to blog really, by a fellow blogger, Bayberry Lilliehook, of Retail Bliss, one day I ran into her in a store, and I loved what she had on. I was checking out her blog, and thought, wow...that would be fun! I love clothes here in SL, and I thought it would be a nice way to just express myself...." she explains.
"I did it for me, not for anyone else , and certainly didn't expect to get any readers out of it.I started it mainly as a little diary for myself".
Blumenthal's first post was a big hit and a good jump-off point as well. "Archange had just opened, literally that night. I was curious to see how it would hold up to the Last Call expectations," she recalls. "I basically had to shop naked, I might add." Not all her blogging days were wonderful though, she had some bad times."While I'd prefer not to mention names... very early in the blogging game, I accidentally blogged on someone who was accused of content theft. Most were kind enough to let me know that I'd made the mistake, and I was quick to withdraw the entry, and apologize. Well, I think I was just roaming, and came upon the shop, the pieces were really good quality, and I think had I been inspecting better, I would have caught on. But I was excited with the find, and rushed into it before thinking. It is very important to do research, and be sure of what you are sharing. I think that someone stealing someone else's hard work is a shame, and would hate to think I took part in sending anyone there to shop". |
