LUNA PARK - Need hair? Head over to the Luna Park Open Air Convention Center to the  location of the "Big Hair Affair". Here, twenty-six different hair designers from all over Second Life have chosen a booth and are displaying ed their fabulous, trendy designs.

JDiva Ophelia, owner of Luna Park,  created the convention center with hopes of showcasing a different theme every month. The "Hair Affair" is the center's first event and has thus far been successful with a traffic of 4000 since it began on January 12th.

The fair has been good for the designers and consumers as well. JDiva is quite proud of the event's success. "Several designers have set out freebies and have offered specials," she says. "...best of all, they can leave a landmark for their main store."

Part of her enjoyment was meeting the designers, some well-known and some newcomers. "I flew around for several days inviting the designers who I saw and was impressed by - posted in the forums and word sort of spread."

In the months coming there will be other 'fests' for SL'ers to attend, including the tentative Tattoo event in February and a bridal fair in March. Neither of these events currently have snazzy names, like the Big Hair Affair.

Around the fair, which is central in the area, there is also a mall where other designers can host their fashions and creations. Spots are still open for those who are interested. This seems quite the idea  for the bargain hunter, fashionista, or cash-strapped newbie. Check it out before the chance is gone forever...
