IDA - Imagen Divine Agency held its first fashion show dedicated to Japanese designers over the weekend, and SLNN visited the show to see what these talented designers from the East had to offer us. The lineup included outfits from Aoharu, Argrace, Barerose, Bijou, The Closet, Cubic, Little Heaven and Muism.

[ida] did a wonderful job of creating a Japanese styled venue for the event, with a traditional wooden Japanese building, ground level runway, cushions for the audience and a wooden birdcage to lower the models to the runway. Also shown around the venue was artwork by Mijn Schatje.

Aoharu
First up on the catwalk was Aoharu, with their range of traditional Kimonos; these were intricately designed with many prim attachments to give the true multi-layered effect of the kimono and came in a variety of bold and vibrant designs giving a modern style to these traditional outfits. Also among the kimonos was a beautiful Japanese wedding dress with several different combinations of how it can be worn, to guarantee the bride will be the centre of attention at the wedding.

Next up was a line of casual outfits, and here the audience was shown multi-layered minidresses, a casual showgirl outfit of bustier, prim mini-skirt and fishnets, which hinted at a French influence, and a modest bikini with detailed floral motif.

Besides their casual outfits, Aoharu demonstrated their ability to create more out-of-the-ordinary outfits, such as the Ice Cream dress, consisting of a wafer dress and a whipped topping hat to ensure you look good enough to eat!

Argrace
Argrace presented a selection of casual wear for both men and women, with several new outfits ready for the summer with fresh bright colours and prim attachments to finish off their trims. A couple of outfits for men and women stood out that, although not yet in the store at the time of writing, could best be described as American truck stop outfits, with chequered shirts under a jumper, jeans and baseball cap for the men and a similar look for the ladies with shorts and knee length socks, creating a unique look.

Muism
Muism had, as always, an excellent range with outfits for both men and women. For the male avatar, there is the formal look with a detailed morning suit featuring jacket, waistcoat and a cravat tie, and for a casual urban look, a semi-transparent vest with Crosby style hat. For the ladies, there were several summer outfits including light dresses, as well as blouse and pant combinations. Finally, for the woman after a more businesslike look, they offer a black dress with white blouse, which still retains a casual feel for an outfit to be taken seriously.
