INFO ISLAND -  The coming week promises compliments, poetry and promotions for those involved with the Library on Second Life.

May 7, 7:00 – 8:00 pm SLT:  A poetry writing workshop will be held at the Steelhead Public Library, Steelhead (
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Steelhead/123/185/24 )  lead by Dov Whiteberry (known in real life as Vermont poet and teacher David Weinstock).  No previous experience is necessary.

May 11, 2 pm SLT:  The Second Annual Compliments Duel will be held in Caledon Loch Avie to benefit Relay for Life (

).  JJ Drinkwater and Exrex Somme repeat their successful battle of last year.  Each of the duelists will pay their opponent five compliments, with the first passage du politesse determined by a coin flip made by the senior judge on the day. There is no restriction on the length, type, nature etc. of the compliments.  A panel of judges will decide the winner of the duel.  Tip jars for each duelist will benefit Relay for Life.

May 12, 5:00 – 8:00 pm SLT:  “Bringing in the May” story session will be held at The Falling Anvil Public House in Caledon Tamrannoch (
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Caledon%20Tamrannoch/233/113/23/ ) hosted by Aldo Stern.  Share stories of springtime rituals and all that increases and multiplies.

May 13, 5:00 pm SLT and May 15, 12:00 pm SLT:  Bestselling author Robert Shemin will be discussing his new book, “How Come This Idiot’s Rich and I’m Not?”  This session will be hosted by Maxito Ricardo at
