INFO ISLAND - Whether it’s an exhibit, a book discussion, an open house or a Shakespearean ball, the activities held by the libraries of Second Life this week are jumping!

Wednesday, August 13, 2008:
1 p.m. SLT, Sci-Fi & Fantasy Portal.
Portal Meeting for members.  Others interested in Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy are invited to attend.  For more information, contact Franja Russell.

4 p.m. SLT, Talis Cybrary Open House, held at the Talis Cybrary Island Coliseum.
Residents will give a short presentation about their current projects and discuss future plans.  Tours of the island will be offered, followed by dancing to a live DJ.

6 p.m. SLT, Genealogy Research Center.
Krag Mariner (Craig Scott in real life, President of Heritage Books), will present a genealogy seminar on researching Navy and Marine records for family history.

Thursday, August 14, 2008:
3:30-4:30 p.m. SLT,  Meet the Poet.
Keith R. Ainsworth (Threik Wilkinson in SL) will be reading from his book of poetry,  “The Courage of Intimacy” at the Winterfell Library in Winterfell.

Friday, August 15, 2008:
8:30 a.m. SLT, Book discussion on “Predictably Irrational:  The Hidden Forces that Shape Our Decisions.”  Lead by Maxito Ricardo.
