metaLIFE kiosk gives content creators the possiblity of selling their content on hundreds of sims
MONOGRAMIA- metaLIFE is unveiling their latest product that will not only help Second Life content creators introduce and sell products to SL residents, but one that will also help landowners pay tier. The new metaLIFE kiosk vendors are launching this week with a four-day celebration, Oct 2-5.
The vendors make it possible for thousands of products to be purchased in-world from vendors that can be available grid-wide making it convenient for buyers and lucrative for sellers.
The vendors are easy for buyers to use and simple for landowners to set up. Any product sold through the vendor gives a 10 per cent share to the landowner where the purchase was made. An additional feature allows the vendor to display content that is related to the land on which it sits whenever the vendor is not being used.
For example, on combat sims, the vendor will randomly display guns and other weapons, role-play clothing specific to the type of combat on the sim and other combat accessories or tools. Buyers also have the option to leave comments about products and to receive landmarks to a seller’s main store (if a seller has one.)
According to metaLIFE Marketing Director Pauly Richez , the vendors are also modifiable so that landowners can conceivably design vendors of their own that blend in with their sim design and simply insert the metaLIFE scripts and technology .
The launch party will take place October 2-5th at Monogram Virtua’s Prime Convention Center on (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Monogramia%20Prime/230/213/302).MetaLIFE is offering a limited number of free kiosks and retail booths at the event to participating vendors and visitors. There will be several seminars throughout the four days to show sellers, residents and landowners how the kiosks work and how they can either have their content included or place a vendor on their land.
Richez and metaLIFE CEO Robbie Kiama will host the seminars. Entertainment will include SL live musicians Bosco Constantine, Ichie Kamachi, and Max Kleene and DJs Doubledown Tandino, Hush Law, Lewt Zerbino, Iche Kamachi,, Cataplexia Numbers and Shon Larrson.
So far I'm not really impressed just based on what I read here, but we'll see. It sounds like something that will benefit metaLIFE more than anyone, frankly.

well metaKIOSK enables land owners to resell items they never produced, and make income, helping cover tier payments and allowing whole new set of places appearing on the grid, that will have a business model, where previously it would have been very hard for all these land owners them to support land payments, without having items or services to sell.
We think that's a big benefit to thousands of land owners just by itself. If you think this model lacks some sanity, please let us know.
Also we would gladly show you how the system works, explain it in much greater detail, just contact me or Pauly Richez inworld
