A press conference will be held June 19 at noon.

GRIDWIDE - Artists all over the grid are abuzz with the news of the art show in Florence. The "Rinascimento Virtuale Firenze 2008," ("Virtual Renaissance") being held at the Museo Nazionale di Antropologia ed Etnolologia in Florence, Italy, is what has everyone talking. Opening October 21, 2008, the show will be on until January 7, 2009 at the city's premier anthropology museum in conjunction with the Festival della creatività.

Frank Koolhaas (Mario Gerosa) is the lead curator for the exhibit, which will feature art from almost 100 artists in SL. Images have been supplied by these artists incorporating some sort of Second Life commonality--avatar photographs, images of sculpture, shots of fashion, views of architecture. The art will be shown in dynamic slideshows and machinima on video monitors throughout the museum. A video has been issued to advertise the show.

A press conference scheduled for June 19, noon SLT, broadcast in Italian directly from Florence, will be held in Rinsacimento Virtuale.
